In the year following Hurricane Katrina, New Prospect adopted two Gulf coast churches which had incurred significant property damage. Financial help was sent along with the prayers of God’s people for recovery. A disaster relief team with a fully stocked equipment trailer was begun, making four trips to the Gulf coast to assist with cleanup efforts. Additional trips are in the planning stages.
